The Medical Education Centre (3rd floor) is being redesigned and refurbished prior to the start of the University academic year 2019-2020. Work is expected to begin during April 2019, therefore the ability to book these rooms for events taking place after 1st April 2019 has now been removed - the Paderewski Lecture Theatre on the 4th floor and room D25 on the 2nd floor remain bookable. As soon as the exact start date for the work is known, bookers of existing events in the system will be contacted and told they need to find an alternative location. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

Due to the redesign and refurbishment of the WGH Medical Education Centre the number of bookable seminar rooms is decreasing, however other types of bookable teaching spaces are being created. Where possible, bookings taking place after 1st September 2019 will be migrated into the new seminar rooms automatically. Bookers of events which cannot automatically be accommodated in the new seminar rooms will be contacted in due course. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

About the Room Booking System

These include the rooms at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh (Chancellor's Building, Postgraduate Education Centre and clinical uplift rooms in the hospital), the Queens Medical Research Institute, the Western General Hospital (Medical Education Centre, Anne Ferguson Building) and the Greenfield Suite at the Hugh Robson Building.
